Route: After communicating with the police department, the most direct and unobstructed route to KICC would be to enter downtown via 9th and then head East on Market to get to the Cowger Parking Garage at 4th and Market. Convention Center is right across the street from there.
The race will be all around downtown and this appears to be the easiest way in. I have made the below map to put it in perspective.
If coming from the West it would be immediate turn on Market, Coming from the East requires the slight loop around indicated in the MAP:
